The Law Office of Bryce A. Lenox, Esq. LLC

Specializing in Business Litigation & Estate Planning

VISION

The Law Office of Bryce A. Lenox, Esq. is a boutique firm in Cincinnati, Ohio focused on commercial law, business litigation and estate planning.  Its founding member, Bryce Lenox, has over twenty years of experience, and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes cases throughout the United States, and is admitted in Ohio, Kentucky, and six federal jurisdictions.  Prior to his legal career, Bryce was an accountant, and has a deep understanding of the business and financial needs of his clients.

The firm was founded on several core principles.  Our goal is to be your "lawyer for life", so we strive to build solid client relationships from the outset. With over twenty years of experience, we understand the importance of getting to know you, your goals, and the outcome you desire.  We always look at the big picture, which helps us to craft the best strategy to meet your needs. We will work toward the most effective solution, whether aggressive litigation, mediation or negotiation.

Second, we strive to be cost-effective by offering lower rates than big firms. We recognize that Class A office space does nothing to solve your problem or advance your case.  And, because we offer flat rate and contingency fee arrangements on some matter, we can keep your rates manageable, predictable and affordable.

Finally, the firm approaches every case as if it were our own. We understand that your matter is extremely important to you, and will be there when you need us.  We will respond quickly to your calls, emails and texts, because we would want the same.

BRYCE A. LENOX, ESQ.

Bryce is an experienced trial lawyer and trusted advisor to businesses and individuals. He practices commercial litigation in federal and state courts and has extensive first-chair trial experience, bringing numerous jury trials to successful verdicts.  In addition to his litigation practice, Bryce counsels corporate clients on a variety of topics, and provides estate planning services to individual clients.

Bryce has secured significant results for clients before juries, judges and arbitrators, and has successfully negotiated multi-million dollar settlements in matters ranging from consumer class actions to complex product liability and intellectual property disputes. He has represented in court and counseled a variety of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to individuals and family businesses, in federal and state trial and appellate courts. Bryce also serves as a court-appointed mediator for the Hamilton County Common Pleas Court.

Prior to law school, Bryce worked in public accounting and attained CPA certification (presently inactive), which has enabled him to take on cases involving accountants and accounting issues.  Bryce has represented corporations and corporate CFOs and controllers in cases regarding accounting irregularities, and accounting firms facing SEC and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board ("PCAOB") inquiries.  Bryce has assisted in providing reports of such matters to audit committees, responded to broad agency-issued subpoenas, and negotiated favorable settlements of agency charges.

Bryce actively participates in a number of community and professional organizations. He is a board member and the Vice President of Program for the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  He is the former President of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, is a board member of Summer Work Experience in Law (SWEL), and was a member of the 2005 class of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers.  Bryce teaches Managerial Ethics as an Adjunct Professor at the Northern Kentucky University School of Business.

BUSINESS LITIGATION

The firm litigates business disputes in a variety of areas. We add value by offering creative, timely and strategic advice to help solve complex legal issues and achieve our clients’ goals.  We routinely collaborate with clients to assess the case and develop litigation strategies, then implement the plan with efficiency.  We strive to produce favorable results for our clients at trial or on appeal, but also favorable settlements when appropriate.

As arbitration is now a popular form of dispute resolution, we utilize our trial skills in arbitrations across the United States.  Clients trust us with their complex issues because we have the experience and resolve necessary to succeed, whether in or out of the courtroom.

APPELLATE PRACTICE

Whether you win or lose a case, a party (or both parties) often appeals the decision.  We have handled dozens of appellate cases in federal and state courts that have produced published decisions establishing important precedents for future cases.  Our published cases include:

•    Yellowbook Inc. v. Brandeberry, 708 F.3d 837 (6th Cir. 2013)

Further, we often participate in appellate mediation and settlement programs when our clients’ interests are best served by resolving a matter before an appellate decision.

CLASS ACTION LITIGATION

We regularly represent clients in class actions, both on the plaintiff and defense side.  Our class action experience spans jurisdiction, subject matter, and industry focus.  We have successfully prosecuted and defended cases asserting high-exposure claims in jurisdictions across America, including consumer and products claims. Class actions are unique, with rules and procedure unlike other areas of the law, and we are well versed in them.

CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION

Disputes and claims in construction projects are often unavoidable, given the number of players, the unpredictability in weather and the frequent movement in material and labor costs. We have experience handling construction contract and warranty disputes, subcontractor liability, delay and extra work claims, defective design and construction claims, mechanic’s lien claims, and employee and third-party personal injury claims. Our experience and knowledge of the construction industry and ever-changing law helps us to achieve successful results for our clients.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LITIGATION

We have deep experience helping clients as both plaintiffs and defendants protecting their brands through claims of trademark and trade dress infringement, as well as unfair competition, false advertising, and misappropriation of trade secrets. We have litigated both jury and bench trials in federal and state courts in several states. We provide both client service and legal acumen at the highest levels, while operating more efficiently than our competitors.

PLAINTIFF CASES

We have represented plaintiffs in a broad range of matters, including catastrophic personal injury matters, consumer class actions, intellectual property disputes, breach of contract, covenants not to compete and trade secret cases, and have recovered millions of dollars on their behalves.

PRODUCT LIABILITY

We have litigated claims involving a broad range of substances, including diacetyl, benzene, silica, asbestos, solvents, and volatile and organic compounds. We also know which experts to hire and how to work with them to deploy a winning scientific strategy.  We have deep relationships with experts in the fields of toxicology, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, state of the art, exposure modeling, and property damage valuation. Our deep knowledge of the science, coupled with our tested trial experience, results in strong and effective advocacy of our clients’ positions.

ESTATE PLANNING

You work hard building your estate to secure your financial future and share wealth. We provide innovative planning that addresses your objectives, characterized by individual attention and sensitivity to special circumstances. We develop estate plans that help our clients achieve maximum savings in income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes. We handle the traditional aspects of personal estate planning, such as the preparation of revocable trusts, wills, and irrevocable trusts. In addition, we work closely with our clients to plan for the succession of family businesses and wealth among generations in a tax efficient manner. We analyze and implement the latest techniques to reduce estate and gift taxes and preserve our clients’ wealth. Our goal is security and peace of mind for our clients.
